Imagine you go to some dinner party and the host does or says some racist thing. Would you go home to your partner or family or roommates and talk about the food, the decor, or the guests? Would you talk about anything at all, except for the racist incident?
No.
Now imagine a racist went to the same party. What would the racist go home and talk about?
