Sometimes I watch a commercial and it isn't just bad, it's so bad I can feel my brain rotting into the void. A great example is this Farmer's Insurance commercial, "Acci-didn't", in which a scene where a car has just crashed into a bumper car ride is summarized - "nothing happened". Nothing happened? A car crashes through a wall - nothing happened? Did we ask the owner of the wall?
Car insurance is very competitive, but this is borderline criminal. If your customer drives through my kitchen, I don't care that you'll buy me a new house - property damage is more than just the monetary value. You want to know my brilliant idea? Instead of planning to compensate damages, just keep the policy in place that discourages drivers from causing any damage in the first place; the money you save by not running this commercial can go toward researching better policies.
